‘Animal’: Ranbir Kapoor film sets new record, earns Rs 116 crore on day one

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, ‘Animal’ stars Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna as lead actors

Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer ‘Animal’ has set a new record at the box office on its release day. The film has become Ranbir’s biggest opener.

‘Animal’ released on Friday in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film has earned Rs 116 crore gross on day one at the worldwide box office , as per reports by PTI.

“He has come to conquer all the records #AnimalHuntBegins ... The biggest non-holiday opening in Hindi cinema ever worldwide gross Rs 116 crore,” T-Series posted on X.

Actors Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Tripti Dimri will also be seen in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial film. The film shows Ranbir in a never seen before dark character in a troubled relationship with his father Balbir Singh, played by Anil Kapoor.

The Central Board of Film Certification has given ‘Animal’ an ‘A’ certificate. The duration of the film is 3 hours 23 minutes.

‘Animal’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series, Murad Khetani’s Cine1Studios and Pranay Reddy Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures.
