Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), an acknowledged national resource Institute for Entrepreneurship Education, Research, Training and Institution Building conducted a capacity building training programme for the professionals of Rwanda. Fifteen participants from Rwanda were trained as trainers for Entrepreneurship Development Centre set-up at Rwanda.
Dr. Sanjay Pal, Programme Director, EDII said "The course pedagogy was designed in a such a way that the participants alongside learning, imbibed the qualities of leadership, management, innovation, creativity and competitiveness and an eye for opportunity. This cadre of trainers will not only ensure new enterprise Creation and Growth of existing ones but will also work in such a manner that entrepreneurship gets etched on the minds of each and every individual of Rwanda".
EDII has been appointed as the nodal institute by Government of India for setting up EDCs in African countries under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between India and Republic of Rwanda last year. Rwanda Institute of Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship and Microfinance (RICEM) is the Institute appointed by Rwanda for development of this centre. — TNS
