Centre, state to work jointly: Kejriwal

New Delhi, February 19

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence and discussed various development issues pertaining to the national capital on Wednesday. The CM denied any discussion on the Shaheen Bagh issue and expressed his desire to work in coordination with the Centre for betterment.

Addressing a press conference after the meeting, Kejriwal said, “I met with Amit Shah today. It was a fruitful meeting in a cordial atmosphere.

Various issues concerning the people were discussed.”

According to Kejriwal, they agreed that both the governments would work together on all the issues concerning Delhi, including significant ones such as women’s security.”

In another meeting with officials at the Delhi Secretariat, he made it clear that all free schemes from his previous tenure would continue for the next five years.

Visit trash mountain: Gambhir

BJP MP Gautam Gambhir has written to the CM, inviting him to visit the Ghazipur landfill site, popularly known as trash mountain, in his constituency. Calling it a matter of great concern, he sought a solution to residents’ plight.
