AIIMS-Delhi shares WhatsApp number to report fleecing, bribery

The All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, on Thursday shared a WhatsApp number on which people can send complaints and evidence related to fleecing or the seeking of bribes by unauthorised individuals outside the hospital.

A dedicated WhatsApp number, 93550-23969, will be operationalised by February 29, exclusively for the reporting of incidents related to patient exploitation, including instances of soliciting bribes. — Hospital Administration

The number will be operationalised by the end of this month, an office order read. The security department at AIIMS will monitor this number 24X7. Upon receiving a complaint, a rapid response team will be dispatched for immediate verification.

“A dedicated WhatsApp number, 93550-23969, will be operationalised by February 29, exclusively for the reporting of incidents related to patient exploitation, including instances of soliciting bribes. The number will be prominently displayed in English and Hindi across all areas of the institution, including OPDs, wards, waiting areas, stores and pharmacies,” the order added.
