Over a month after a body of a youth was found locked in a car outside an eatery at Shatabgarh village, the police have arrested two women and booked a man for murder on a complaint of the deceased’s wife.

Honey Mehra, wife of Raghav Narang (30), a resident of Raipur Khurd, told the police that her husband went to Rajpura on June 11 to repair his car, but did not return.

The next morning, she was informed that her husband’s body was found in his car outside the village. On her complaint, the police booked Zirakpur resident Deepak Goyal and arrested Rose, also of Zirakpur, and Kharar resident Rakhi Mehra for giving poison to her husband with an intent to kill him. The police tonight arrested the two women.

Zirakpur SHO Onkar Singh Brar said, “The complainant said the trio was with her husband on the night and had an argument with him.” — TNS
