Youth Congress workers protest ‘mismanagement’ by Centre

Chandigarh, May 17

Members of the Chandigarh Youth Congress held a protest at Matka Chowk here today against the alleged “mismanagement in Covid handling by the Modi government.”

Young Congress leaders Prikshit Rana, Navdeep Singh, Ravi Prasher, Umesh Kumar, Devinder, Sandeep, Pardeep Kumar, Bakeel Khan, Jaspreet Singh and Shanu Khan were seen holding placards at the protest site.

“India started its Covid vaccination drive on January 16, yet its performance has been poor on the vaccination front. The vaccination rate is very slow. Interestingly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been exporting vaccine to other nations for self-promotion,” said Manoj Lubana of the Youth Congress.

“It feels really sad to see people dying due to poor governance. Around 6.6 crore doses of Covid vaccine could have saved several lives. The PM should be ashamed of what he is doing today and he will soon pay the price for it,” he said.

“People across the country are finding it difficult to get their hands on the vaccine. On the contrary, FIRs are being registered and arrests are being made in Delhi for raising the issue,” Lubana said. — TNS
