Chandigarh, August 1

In the memory of Sidhu Moosewala, the Punjab and Chandigarh Youth Congress launched a talent hunt programme today. Various singers also performed during the event.

The programme – “India’s Rizing Talent” – was held as a tribute to the Punjabi singer. A mobile number, 7706061313, was also launched to get entries from Punjab and Chandigarh in the age group of 15 to 35 years in various categories i.e. singing, comedy, mimicry, etc.

Punjab Youth Congress president Brinder Singh Dhillon said: “Punjab has a rich history, culture and a lot more than what is depicted in the artistic circles. So, we are launching a platform for youngsters to showcase their talent and highlight various issues such as price rise, corruption, unemployment, women empowerment, drugs and gangster culture.”

“We want youth to come forward to showcase their talent,” said Manoj Lubaba, Chandigarh Youth Congress president. The programme was launched by singer Afsana Khan, along with Saaj Superboy, Laddi Khangarh and Ashish.
