Chandigarh sees 76 fresh Covid cases; 27 cases each in Mohali, Panchkula

The city witnessed 76 fresh cases of Covid on Sunday, taking the active caseload to 495. While there was no fresh fatality due to the virus, 73 more patients recovered from the disease. The virus has claimed 1,165 lives in the city so far. TNS

27 contract virus in Mohali

Mohali: The district reported 27 new cases of Covid during the past 24 hours, while 46 patients were cured of the disease. There was no fresh Covid fatality. Meanwhile, a total of 20,64,575 beneficiaries in the district have been given anti-Covid shots till date. As many as 11,50,771 people have been given the first dose whereas 8,69,063 people have been given the second dose too. Apart from this, 44,771 beneficiaries have been given the booster dose or the third dose. Civil Surgeon Adarshpal Kaur said a total of 80,000 beneficiaries in the age group of 15 to 17 were jabbed till Sunday. — TNS

27 test positive in Panchkula district

Panchkula: The district reported 27 fresh cases of Covid during the past 24 hours. However, there was no new fatality till Sunday evening. As of now, the district Covid tally stands at 44,946. While 44,344 patients have been cured, 414 succumbed to the virus. There are 187 active cases.
