This weekend, GMADA to keep its offices open

In order to facilitate owners to file applications for land pooling for land acquired to develop the Aerotropolis project in Mohali, the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) has decided to keep offices open on weekend.

A spokesperson said as the last date for submitting applications to avail of land pooling for this project was March 9, the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority had decided to set up special counters at the PUDA Bhawan on March 6 and 7 i.e. Saturday and Sunday to accept applications.

A spokesperson said GMADA had acquired land of Bakarpur, Rurka, Safipur, Matran, Siun, Patton, Manauli, Saini Majra and Chau Majra villages to develop Aerotropolis project in the vicinity of the international airport in Mohali.

He said as the last date for submitting applications to avail of land pooling for this project is March 9, the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority had decided to set up special counters at the PUDA Bhawan on March 6 and 7 i.e. Saturday and Sunday to accept the applications.

The spokesperson said the last date to accept the applications would not be extended beyond the stipulated date and land owners, who would fail to submit applications up to this date, would not be considered for land pooling and would be given only cash compensation. The unpaid compensation would be deposited in the Reference Court as per the provisions of the Act.
