Take back sacked NHM staff: Sanyukt Karamchari Morcha

Members of the Sanyukt Karamchari Morcha today held a protest against the termination of services of 178 National Health Mission (NHM) employees outside the office of the Director Health here.

The protest was held under the leadership of conveners of the working committee of the Sanyukt Karamchari Morcha Gopal Dutt Joshi, Sukhbir Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Ashwini Kumar, Balwinder Singh, Bipin Sher Singh, besides state executive members Dharmendra Rahi, Ranbir Rana, Rajinder Katoch, Raja Ram, Surmukh Singh,Ranjit Mishra, Ashok Kumar and Janardan Yadav.

Demanding the reinstatement of the sacked NHM employees, Joshi said the employees had done a commendable work during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Joshi said six federations and organisations of employees of the UT Administration and the MC had earlier met the Director, Health, and the Secretary, Health, on the issue. He said the Director, Health, was yet to address the issue and the sacked NHM employees were struggling to join their services for the past 40 days. Due to the lack of decision-making of the Hospital Administration, the employees were forced to go for litigation too.
