Mohali, April 19

Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa today conducted a surprise checking at various offices located in the District Administrative Complex. He also checked the attendance of employees.

The minister checked the office of the SDM, SDM court, Tehsil office, Tehsil court, Fard Kendra and Suvidha Kendra on the premises of the complex.

At the Suvidha Kendra, a visitor told him that he had gone to a centre at the MC office, but had to return without getting his work done as the employee concerned was on leave. The minister directed the officials of the centre that alternative arrangements be made so that the people do not have to face any trouble. Jimpa said action would be taken against the officers and employees found absent today. He said, “Our job is only to improve the work. The government does not intend to intimidate anyone.”
