The college celebrated its 59th Founder’s Day. The three-day event for the founder’s day began with an Akhand Path on February 10. Various inter-college competitions, such as the National Virasati Gatka Cup and Shaan-e-Dastaar-Turban Tying competitions, were held in consonance with the practice of heritage and cultural preservation promoted by the college.

UIET, Chandigarh

A battery test lab was inaugurated by the director of the university, Sanjeev Puri. This lab is being established through a CSR grant of Rs 1 crore from Oceaneering International Services Limited (OISL). OISL has already released the first instalment of Rs 50 lakh, and the second instalment of Rs 50 lakh is set to be released soon. Equipment such as the environment chamber, CRO, function generator, and LCR metre have been purchased with the help of the first instalment, and a high-end battery cycler is being procured.

University Institute of Legal Studies

To impart mediation and negotiation skills among budding lawyers, the ADR and CCL of the university organised the 7th Intra-Department Mediation and Negotiation Competition. A hundred teams were selected to participate in the competition. The Final Rounds were adjudged by Justice Vikas Bahl, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court; Justice Ajay Tewari (retd); and Senior Advocate Ashish Chopra. Anvi Rana (Best Mediator), Chirag Chabbra, Tiya Mehta (Negotiating Pair), and Guralam Singh Dhillon (Mediator) claimed the top three positions, respectively.
