Sector 15 woman -ve in retest

Chandigarh, May 29

The test report of the 91-year-old woman from Sector 15, who reportedly tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, was found negative today after the PGI conducted a retest.

The woman had gone to a hospital in Mohali for femoral neck fracture. Her samples were also collected for the virus and sent to Delhi.

The PGI said the samples were examined carefully as the test was conducted by a private hospital. Besides, her three family members and two community contacts have also tested negative.

Meanwhile, no fresh case was reported from the city today. Now, there are a total of 288 Covid cases and 95 active cases in the city. — TNS
