Roots-AITA Championship: Sahej beats Rabian, marches ahead

On the opening day of the Roots-AITA CS (7) National Ranking Championship, Sahej Kaur defeated Rabian Dullet 6-0, 6-1 to march ahead in the girls’ U-18 category. Jasmine Kaur defeated Palak Malvia 6-4, 7-5, while Paavni Panwar ousted Agam Parmar 7-5, 6-1. Vanshika Yadav also moved ahead by defeating Ananya Sharma 6-2 6-3 and Sanmitha Harin outplayed Anusha Johhkar 6-0 6-3.

Janhavi Chougule also logged an easy 6-0, 6-0 win over Shivika Sharma and Sejal Rana defeated Sara Rajesh Rebecca 6-3, 7-6(7).

In boys’ U-12 category, Heet Kandoriya defeated Jay Ravindra 6-4, 6-4 and Sarthak Jaglan sweat hard before defeating Harsh Marwaha 6-4, 4-6(10-4). Kirtarth Singh defeated Hridiyansh Upadhyay 6-1, 6-1 and Himanish Brinda defeated Harman Singh 6-0, 6-0. — TNS
