Chandigarh, May 8

After postponement of Senate elections, the Panjab University Teachers Association (PUTA) has once again started raising voice against the delay in CAS promotions.

After writing to the PU Vice-Chancellor, PUTA has now written to Chancellor and Vice-President of India M Venkaiah Naidu about the issue.

“More than three months after these cases (above 100) were cleared by the selection committees, teachers concerned have not been issued the letters of appointment under the CAS promotions despite repeated requests by the PUTA president and secretary,” read the letter.

“Already suffering due to the pandemic, these teachers are in a state of great anxiety,” it added.
