Mohali, January 20

Residents of Mohali should compare the 10 years of Mayorship of Kulwant Singh, the candidate from AAP, versus 10 months of work under Congress-ruled MC, headed by its Mayor Amarjeet Singh Jeeti Sidhu, which has changed the face of the city and has catapulted it to 81st rank under the Swachh Bharat Survey from 164th position.

Sitting MLA and Congress candidate Balbir Singh Sidhu stated this while addressing people during his door-to-door campaign in Phase II while seeking votes on the development projects he brought to the town. He said they did their best to meet people’s expectations and the ball was now in the public court.

While reiterating his election campaign agenda ‘Kaam kiya hai kaam karenge’ Sidhu asserted that the Medical College, New Civil Hospital in Sector 66 and Nursing College would make Mohali the health capital of Punjab.

He said fundamental problems faced by citizens like traffic jams at Landran Chowk, provision of safe drinking water through 375 crore water treatment plant at Sinhpur village and 20MGD of water through Kajauli water works, 15 crore Bhagat Asa Ram Baidwan Auditorium in Sector 78 and another 145 crore sewerage treatment plant in Sector 83 had been solved. These projects were brought to Mohali through his personal commitment and efforts, he added.
