Prostitution racket busted in Burail

The UT police have busted a prostitution racket operating from a hotel in Burail, Sector 45. The police rescued three girls from the hotel.

The police said they got a tip-off regarding a prostitution racket operating from Hotel City Heart, following which a raid was conducted on the intervening night of July 27 and 28.

The police first sent a decoy customer. As soon as the decoy customer made the payment, the police raided the hotel.

Police officials said three girls, aged between 19 and 22, were rescued from the hotel.

The police said two persons, identified as Pardeep Poodar and Jawahar Poodar, residents of EWS Colony, Dhanas, who used to operate the hotel on lease, two agents Puneet Kumar and Raju Kumar, both natives of Uttarakhand, who arranged the customers, and a pimp named Heena, a resident of Jammu and Kashmir, were arrested.

All suspects were produced before a court, which sent them to judicial custody. The girls were released after investigation. A case of immoral trafficking has been registered at the Sector 34 police station.

This is the second racket busted by the police in less than a week. Earlier, a prostitution racket was busted in Kajheri, Sector 52.
