The owner of Krishna Bakery and Dairy in Sector 9, Panchkula, Surinder Singh, aka Sanjay Arora, the prime suspect in the triple murder case of his wife and two children, had in a suicide note supposedly written by him, mentioned that many people had duped him of huge amounts on the pretext of selling their property to him.

The handwri tten note recovered by the police, which is presumed to have been written by Surinder, states that many people had duped him of huge amounts on the pretext of selling their property to him. The note mentions that many people who had taken his property on rent were not paying the dues. The note mentions that his family should not be harassed by anyone. Lastly it has written that his body would be found near a railway crossing.

Although Surinder is the prime suspect, the UT police are also probing other angles, including his financial dispute.
“As of now, all evidence points towards Surinder, but we are investigating various angles. The suicide note and the CCTV footage will be verified,” said a police official.
Sources said Surinder had made a complaint against two persons to the Panchkula police. He had alleged that the duo, shopkeepers at Sector 9, had taken Rs 36 lakh from him on interest. However, they were not returning the money. The complaint is still under investigation.
The sources said Surinder was also involved in litigation related to property disputes. After leasing out his shop, Surinder had entered into the business of property dealing, which had led to financial disputes.
His wife Sarita Arora (45), daughter Ratna, aka Sanchi (22), and son Arjun were found murdered at their house at the Modern Housing Complex (MHC) on the intervening night of January 22 and 23. Surinder had reportedly committed suicide by jumping before a train at a nearby railway track. The police suspect that after murdering his family, Surinder went to the railway track and committed suicide.
The theory that Surinder had reportedly committed suicide after eliminating his family has not gone down well with many people who knew him. Sources said he owned a few shops in Panchkula, besides a house in Sector 9, Panchkula.
Surinder’s shop Krishna Bakery has been leased out to Karamvir for seven years, said his brother Gurcharan Singh. Surinder had also rented out his share of the house in Sector 9 to Karamvir.
Ratna had two injuries
The postmortem report of Surinder’s daughter Ratna was received on Friday, which revealed that there was only one sharp injury on her neck and one head injury caused due to a fall on the ground. The postmortem report of the other two victims is yet to be received.
DVR to be sent to CFSL
Police officials said the DVR, in which the footage of CCTV cameras installed outside the house is captured, will be sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) to obtain the footage, since the DVR is password protected. The CFSL will then send the footage to the police for examination.
Bodies cremated
The autopsy of Surinder was conducted at the PGI on Friday after which all four bodies were cremated together at the cremation ground in Mani Majra.
