Production warrant for accused

Special investigation team (SIT) has brought here the main accused in the extortion case from the Ambala jail to interrogate him about the recovery of an illegal pistol.

The SIT chief, Assistant Commissioner of Police Surinder Kumar, said a pistol was recovered from accused Anju Bhalla, Ajali and her brother Gaurav. A team of the Crime Branch, Sector 19, brought Narinder Khillan on production warrant from the Ambala jail to interrogate him about the illegal pistol. He was produced before the court which remanded him in two-day police custody.

Khillan was booked under Section 193, 212, 384, 406, 409, 420, 467, 468, 471, 506 and 120-B of the IPC on May 26 and had been in the jail since then.
