Tribune News Service

Chandigarh, July 11

A few days after Chandigarh Tribune reported lack of temperature check and use of sanitisers at UT offices, things have improved considerably at various buildings.

At the MC office in Sector 17, temperature checking was being done at one of the buildings, but another building had no such provision. As both buildings are connected, testing at just one of them defeated the purpose. Now, the MC has closed the entrance to the second building.

UT Adviser Manoj Parida has asked the staff to check temperature of all visitors to the UT’s Mini-Secretariat. The issue gained importance after an employee of the Education Department was found Covid positive and the office premises had to be shut.
