Chandigarh, January 6

The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation (MC) organised a street play to create awareness about the Swachh Chandigarh Mission at Elante Mall here today. Paigaam Dramatic Club from Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, performed the play on segregation of waste at source level.

Earlier, Kajal Mangalmukhi, Swachh Bharat Mission brand ambassador for Chandigarh, encouraged citizens to participate in home composting of waste produced in their respective households through a play along with other artistes.

In addition to this, the artistes and the audience took a ‘swachhata pledge’ for not mixing their household waste and separate dry, wet, hazardous and sanitary waste so that it can be disposed of scientifically. — TNS
