Continuing with the tradition of creating benchmarks, the PGI again won laurels by winning the national award in the ‘Best Hospital’ category for its outstanding contribution towards the promotion of cadaver organ donation.

Adding to the accolades, Dr Navdeep Bansal, working as transplant coordinator at the PGI, bagged the “Best Transplant Coordinator” award.

It is the fourth consecutive time that the PGI, Chandigarh, has won the national award for its contribution to the organ donation programme.

Expressing delight at the achievement, PGI Director Prof Jagat Ram said: “It is an honour to be acknowledged nationally for the PGI’s contribution towards the promotion of the deceased organ donation programme for the fourth time in a row.
