Chandigarh, November 22

The 27th edition of the Punjab Open Ladies Golf Championship will be held at the Chandigarh Golf Club from November 23-25.

Over 100 golfers from the tricity, Delhi, Punjab and other parts of the country will feature in the competition.

The tournament will be played in three categories — gold, silver and bronze.

The youngest participant of the tournament will be eight-year-old Ojaswini Saraswat, while the oldest participant will be 84-year-old Gurbinder Johl.

“This is one of the biggest amateur tournaments of north India. It is an ideal platform for the potential golfers. In the past, the tournament had witnessed participation from the likes of Aditi Ashok and others,” said one of the organisers.

“It’s a proud moment for Chandigarh Golf Club,” said Dr GS Kochhar, vice-president, Chandigarh Golf Club.
