Chandigarh, June 18

Chandigarh Administration said on Friday there would be no lockdowns this Sunday—a development that comes days after the union territory allowed shops to open up for longer hours as the city continues to report a significant decline in infections.

The UT administration said on Sunday that Administrator VP Singh Badnore has decided to call off a general lockdown on Sunday as previously announced but night curfew will remain in force from 10:30 pm to 5 am.

Sukhna Lake will remain open to the public only from 5 am-9 am, and 6 pm-8 pm.
