Mohali, June 12

A day after four armed persons robbed a Landran jeweller of 1-kg gold ornaments and 6-kg silver jewellery, the police are yet to nab the culprits. The police said they were also investigating as to if jeweller Parveen Kumar’s acquaintances were involved in the robbery.

Sources said police had traced a white car with a Sangrur registration number which was used in the crime. The four robbers had waited outside a dairy near the jeweller's shop. After snatching the bags containing gold and silver jewellery, the robbers fled towards the Banur side. The police had recovered the bullet shells.
