In an endeavour to celebrate the life of former Indian sprinter Flying Sikh Milkha Singh and Nirmal Milkha Singh, former Indian volleyball team captain, the family has decided to create a digital non-fungible tokens (NFT).

“The family is working towards creating a digital museum and also building up Milkha’s Charitable Trust to keep supporting deserving sports persons and helping the others in need, for example, those with medical emergencies,” said a person close to the Milkha family. “One can register on theflyingSikh.club for free drops of the NFT.”

Sources said the NFT will be launched on January 26. In June last year, both Milkha and Nirmal lost their battle to Covid. “There has been a lot to share about his life. His journey from Partition days, his dedication to win laurels for the nation and his dream of watching youngsters given their best in sports, is an inspiration for many. Nirmal also gave her best for the welfare of sports. We are trying to keep all this for the coming generation,” said a close family friend.
