Mohali, March 19

In larger public interest, the Mohali administration has decided to put a list of all persons under home quarantine on the official website of Mohali district.

The decision has been taken to make people, especially those living in the neighbourhood of such persons, aware about the risk.

“This way, people will get information about such persons while sitting at home and they would be vigilant to avoid contact with them and their family members. This is one of the measures to prevent Covid-19 in the area,” said Girish Dayalan, Deputy Commissioner.

According to him, at present, there are approximately 200 persons under home quarantine in the district.

“The names of all such persons will be put on our website (www.sasnagar.gov.in). The list will be updated regularly,” said Dayalan. He said regular checks were being conducted by heath officials and enforcement teams. “Violators shall be proceeded against as per law,” said the Deputy Commissioner, adding that in order to control the spread of the disease, guidelines of home quarantine shoud be followed strictly.

The persons under home quarantine have neither tested positive for Covid-19 nor are high risk, Dayalan said.

“They have been home quarantined only as a precaution against the spread of the disease,” he said.
