Mohali, October 30

Concerned over illegal mining going on in the district, Rajinder Singh Badheri, National Delegate of the All-India Jatt Mahasabha and Director, Punjab Mandi Board, urged the SSP Satinder Singh to curb the mining mafia.

Badheri stated that the SSP said the police had been vigilant when the matter came to his notice and several JCB machines had been seized and legal action had been taken against the culprits.

Badheri said farmers of the Majri and Kharar blocks in Mohali district were upset. People informed him that mining contractors were also disturbed by the mining mafia.
