Mohali sees four new cases

Mohali: Four more Covid cases surfaced in the district on Thursday, taking the total number of cases in Mohali to 280. Those infected include a 33-year-old man from Sector 91, a 43-year-old man from Phase 10, a 41-year-man from Dhakoli and a 43-year-old man from Kurali. The Civil Surgeon, Dr Manjit Singh, said the 33-year-old man was an NRI and had returned from Spain recently, whereas the 43-year-old man from Phase 10 and the 41-year-old man were ILI cases. He said the 43-year-old resident of Kurali had returned from Delhi recently. All of them have been admitted to a Covid care centre at Gian Sagar Hospital in Banur.

5 cured, discharged

Dr Manjit Singh said five patients defeated Covid and were discharged from the Banur hospital. As of now, there are 73 active cases in the district. While 203 patients have been cured and discharged from hospitals, four died due to the virus. TNS
