Mohali, November 22

Residents slammed the Mohali Municipal Corporation for not picking up the carcass of a dog, who died on the roadside between Phase 10 and 11 here around four days ago.

Despite several calls, no one from the civic body is ready to pick up the carcass of the dead animal.

“It has been four days since the dog’s carcass is lying near the corner of house number 145, but no one from the MC came to pick up the carcass,” said a passerby.

Residents said foul smell had started emanating from the carcass and it was causing inconvenience for people walking on the footpath.

“The carcass is lying near the pathway and people are inconvenienced due to the foul smell. MC employees should wake up from the slumber and pick up the carcass,” said a resident nearby.
