Mehar, Shaurya emerge overall champions in golf tournament

Mehar Nijjer and Shaurya Dagar emerged as overall gross winners of the Open Juniors Golf Tournament, organised at Chandigarh Golf Club. Mehar (shot 2-under 70) and Dagar (73) claimed the overall trophies of girls and boys category, respectively.

In boys’ category A, Vasu Sehgal (73) and Vishavjeet Singh (74) claimed first and second position, respectively, while Ayush Pannu finished third.

In girls’ category A, Mehar (70), Puneet Bajwa (74) and Raza Kaur (85) claimed first three positions. In the boys’ category B, Ajay (77) claimed the first position, Samar Pratap Sandhu (78) finished second and Uday (82) claimed third position.

Bhavya Maan (85), Nadr Kaur (88) and Yogyata Modi (95) claimed first three position in the girls’ category B.

Arjunveer Shishir (73) defeated Rannvijay Singh (75) to win the boys’ category C event, while Sidak Talwar (87) claimed third position.

While, in the girls’ category C, Vanya Sokhi (91), Amayra Khokhar (103) and Kaashvi Bajaj (104) shined. In the boys’ category D, Sohraab Talwar (80) emerged as the winner, followed by Arnav Kumar (81) and Puranjay Rawal (93), whereas in the girls’ category, Advika (88), Ojaswini Mahajan (96) and Kavya Bhardwaj (100) claimed top three positions.

Divjot Gupta (37) won the boys’ category E event, followed by Jotsarup Gupta (41) and Amey Veer Tregan (41).

In the girls’ event, Sukhreet Kaur was the sole winner. Sahib Ojala (36) won the boys’ category F event, followed by Nihaal Cheema at second position and Sidhant Manchanda at third.

Meanwhile, Ranbir won the boys’ putting competition and Nitara, Anadya and Ameera claimed first three positions, respectively, in the girls’ putting competition.
