The body of a 30-year-old man was found in Ganda Kheri canal today. The deceased was identified as Gurdeep Singh, a resident of Rampur Saini village. His wife and her mother have already been booked for his murder. Complainant Santosh Kumar had stated that his son had married Preeti of Chatt village.

Following frequent fights, Preeti left for her village. On July 19, Gurdeep went to her village to bring her back but did not return. Later, it was claimed that he slipped and fell into Ganda Kheri canal and died.

The complainant had alleged that his daughter-in-law and her mother had pushed Gurdeep into the canal on the pretext of performing some rituals.
