Man tries to dupe Chandigarh MC official

Municipal Corporation’s Sub-Divisional Officer AK Dhadwal today received a phone call on WhatsApp from a man, who posed himself as a CBI officer from Delhi, and allegedly tried to defraud him.

Dhadwal, who is posted in the electrical wing, has complained to the CBI and the Chandigarh Police.

The complainant said the man allegedly identified himself as SP, CBI, Delhi. He allegedly threatened him to frame him in some case, if he failed to pay him Rs 50 lakh. The caller also allegedly shared a video of three men, who are being beaten with some belt, apparently to scare him.
