Man held with heroin

Chandigarh: The Operations Cell of the UT police has arrested a 31-year-old man while possessing 151 grams of heroin. A team, led by Inspector Amanjot Singh, in-charge, Operations Cell, nabbed the suspect, Sanjeev Kumar, alias Soni, of Ludhiana, from near the Butterfly Park, Sector 26. “The suspect used to purchase one gram of heroin for Rs1,500 from Delhi and sell it in the city for Rs3,500”, said a police official. The police have registered a case. He was sent to judicial custody. — TNS
