Lone patient discharged, Panchkula now Covid-free

The district became Covid-free today as the lone patient was discharged from the Civil Hospital in Sector 6 here. However, the results of 60 samples are yet to be received. “We are keeping our fingers crossed as of now. The lone patient from Rajiv Colony was discharged from the Civil Hospital today,” said Jasjeet Kaur, Civil Surgeon.

As many as 4,231 samples have been collected in the district so far and 4,123 of these have tested negative for the deadly virus.

The district had reported 25 positive cases and as many as 705 persons have been home-quarantined.

The Sector 6 hospital is the only Civil Hospital in Haryana where Covid patients are treated. Elsewhere in the state, Covid patients are treated in medical colleges.
