Lokesh-Ravinder win rowing gold

Lokesh and Ravinder claimed men’s double scull gold medal during the Chandigarh Senior State Rowing Championship held at Sukhna Lake. The team of Pardhuman and Sanshank bagged silver medal, while Pardeep Shakya and Jaspal got bronze.

In the light weight double scull, the team of Pardeep Shakya and Jaspal claimed the top position, while Manish Yadav and Rahul Jagran stood second. Amit Rathod and Ramanpal Singh finished at third spot. In the single scull event, Manish, Simranjeet and Charanjot Saini claimed the top three positions, respectively. In the men’s pair, the team of Sanjay and Jatin claimed the top podium position, followed by the team of Yuvraj Singh and Raman Rohilla at second position. Jagsir Singh and Sharman Singh finished third.

The team of Neha, Nikta, Esha and Gurpreet won the women’s coxless-four event. Sampat, Priyadarshni, Ranjana and Amritpal finished second and Priyanka, Suman, Nisha and Vipul claimed third position. In the women’s pair, Amritpal and Sampat defeated Priyadarshni and Ranjana. Suman and Nisha claimed the bronze medal. In the women’s single scull, Narinder Kaur defeated Priyanka to claim the top honour.
