Legal awareness camp a hit at Mango Mela in Pinjore

A large number of people visitied the three-day special legal awareness camp of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Panchkula, organised under the aegis of the Haryana State Legal Services Authority (HSLSA), during the Mango Mela at Yadavindra Gardens, Pinjore.

Justice Augustine George Masih, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, and Executive Chairman, HSLSA, Panchkula, along with Subhas Mehla, Member Secretary, HSLSA, Panchkula, Deepak Gupta, District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, DLSA, Panchkula, Sampreet Kaur, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, DLSA, Panchkula, and Nitin Raj, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Panchkula, visited the fair.

On the occasion, Justice Masih launched an animated video and a poster on the rights of runaway couples. Justice Masih also distributed saplings among students of Government Senior Secondary School, Pinjore, and motivated them to plant these in their houses or neighbourhood.

During the awareness campaign, legal queries of the public were addressed by a panel of advocates as well as paralegal volunteers.
