In Mohali, 1,227 mutation cases resolved

Under a special campaign in the district, 1,227 mutation cases have been resolved on January 15, a senior official said on Tuesday.

“The Kharar Sub-Division has sanctioned 610 mutations, while Dera Bassi 425 and Mohali 187 yesterday (January 15),” Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain said.

On January 6, 1,942 mutation cases had been resolved, taking the total number to 3,169. district.

Jain said though the time frame of 45 days for a mutation from entering/initiating by patwari and verifying by kanungo and sanction by Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar has been fixed, the physical verifications sometimes halt the process.
