Four more from Mohali infected

Mohali: Four new cases of Covid surfaced on Friday, taking the district tally to 127. The four persons infected with the virus include a 61-year-old man from Sector 70. Three other cases are contacts of an a patient from Sector 78. Civil Surgeon Manjit Singh said three patients from Sector 78 were the wife, mother and father of a Covid patient, who had a travel history to Delhi. He had arrived from Delhi by road five days ago. All of them have been admitted to the Covid Care Centre at Gian Sagar Hospital in Banur. Meanwhile, a 33-year-old NRI, hailing from Dera Bassi, was discharged from the Banur hospital on Friday. Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan said of the 127 positive patients in the district, 107 had recovered from the disease while three died of it. At present, the district had only 17 active cases, he added. TNS
