Four more from Bapu Dham +ve

Four fresh cases of Covid were reported from Bapu Dham Colony in the city today, taking the tally to 279.

A one-and-a-half-year-old boy, a 22-year-old youth and two men, aged 60 and 61, were among those found positive for the virus.

The number of cases reported from the colony now stands at 206, which is 73 per cent of the total cases in the city. At present, there are 88 active cases in the city and 84 of these are from the colony.

As many as 14 cases were reported from Bapu Dham on Saturday, followed by 28 cases on Sunday and 13 yesterday. The family members of a three-day-old Covid-positive baby, who died at the PGI on Saturday, have tested negative for the virus. The family resides in Dadu Majra Colony. Some of their relatives live in Sector 38. A total of 12 contacts of the baby have been traced and sampled for a Covid test.

Meanwhile, 29 patients, who were in the post-discharge quarantine centre at Sood Dharamshala, were sent home today after their samples tested negative for Covid.
