Four deaths, 89 new cases in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, November 28

The city today witnessed 89 new cases of Covid, pushing the tally to 17,246. The day also saw four deaths due to the contagion, taking the toll to 274.

A 69-year-old man from Sector 20, a case of type 2 diabetes mellitus, died at Alchemist Hospital, Panchkula. A 78-year-old man from Sector 34, a case of acute kidney disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension, breathed his last at the PGI.

A 66-year-old man from Sector 46, a case of type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension, succumbed to the virus at the GMCH-32. A 71-year-old man from Sector 40, a case of hypertension, also died at the GMCH-32. —TNS


96 test +ve in Panchkula

Panchkula: The district on Saturday reported 96 fresh cases of Covid, taking the tally to 8,615. With no new fatality, the toll remained 127. The district Covid recovery rate stands at 92.7 per cent. tns

Mohali sees two deaths, 176 cases

Mohali: Two persons lost their life to Covid-19 in the district during the past 24 hours, taking the toll to 276. Meanwhile, 176 fresh cases were reported from the district till this evening. Of the fresh infections, 82 cases were reported from Mohali (urban). TNS
