Football Tourney: Kids ‘R’ Kids School log win

Gurman Reet Kaur and Kritika scored a goal each to help Kids ‘R’ Kids School log (2-1) win over Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, in the opening match of the girls’ U-14 inter-school football championship.

Sri Guru Harkrishan Model School, Sector 38, won the second match by logging (2-0) win over Banyan Tree School. Prabhleen (14th minute) and Parneet (32nd minute) scored a goal each for the winning side.

In the boys’ U-14 category, St John’s School, Sector 26, defeated St Soldier’s School, Sector 28, by a solitary goal. Mantaj scored the only goal of the match in the 32nd minute.

St Kabir win chess contest

In the girls’ U-14 inter-school chess competition, St Kabir, Sector 26, defeated Tender Heart School, Sector 33, to clear the third round. Sacred Heart School ousted First Step School, Sector 26, in the second match.

Tender Heart paddlers shine

Tender Heart School girls won two matches in the girls’ U-14 inter-school table tennis. The Sector 33 school defeated Gurukul Global, Mani Majra, and DAV Public School, Sector 8. St Anne’s School also won both matches against GMSSS-56 and Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27. Sacred Heart defeated Sri Arubindo team (3-0) and St Joseph’s School defeated Delhi Public School.
