DP Azad U-19 invitational tournament: Imrozpreet fashions Mansa win

In the ongoing 2nd DP Azad Sports U-19 Invitational Tournament, the District Cricket Association (DCA), Mansa, defeated SD Cricket Academy by six wickets.

Batting first, SD Cricket Academy posted 185 runs at the loss of seven wickets. A 103-run partnership between Aarush Bhandari (63 of 67 balls) and Ayush Rawat (59 off 101 balls) helped the side to achieve the total. Jashan Diogun (3/36) and Omkar Sharma (2/32) claimed wickets for the bowling side.

In reply, the Mansa outfit achieved the target with the help of Imrozpreet Singh (95 off 69 balls, with 13 boundaries and two sixes). Jayant Vashisht and Girish Khatri picked up two wickets for the bowling side.

Bhandari won the best batter award while Diogun won the best bowler award. Imrozpreet claimed the Player of the Match award.

In the second match, Champions Cricket Academy, Kharar, recorded a 60-run win over Century Cricket Academy.

Batting first, Champions Academy scored 224 runs at the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 40 overs. Bikramjeet Singh (74 off 92 balls), Manan (52 off 58 balls) and Aryan Bhatia (30 off 26 balls) were the main contributors. Devesh Kushwaha (3/20) and Tejveer (3/48) shared wickets for the bowling side.

In reply, Century Academy lads were bundled out at 164. Kushwaha (41) and Puneet (36) were the main contributors. Rahul Maurya claimed 3/21, while Bhatia accounted 3/40 for the bowling side. Maurya, Bikramjeet and Bhatia won the best bowler, best batter and the player of the match awards, respectively.
