Delhi resident booked for ‘hitting’ woman

The police have booked Sikander Behl, a resident of Delhi, for thrashing a woman in a room of the Hyatt hotel, Industrial Area, Phase I, here. The complainant, also a resident of Delhi, has alleged that the suspect thrashed her in the hotel room on June 12.

The police said the room was booked in the complainant’s name and both the suspect and the complainant had checked in together.

It was alleged that the duo had some argument in the room following which the suspect thrashed her. In the footage of a CCTV camera installed at the hotel, the suspect is seen trying to stop the complainant from leaving the room.

The police said the suspect was a businessman. They have registered a case under sections 323, 341 and 506 of the IPC at the Industrial Area police station and started investigation.
