The Chandigarh Administration on Tuesday decided that a committee comprising deputy commissioners of Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali will meet twice a week online to ensure effective coordination in all COVID-19 related matters such as lockdown restrictions, hospital management, supply management, vaccinations etc.

It was also decided that director health services of Mohali, Panchkula and Chandigarh will also meet twice a week over video conference to decide uniform and coordinated approach in medical treatment of Covid patients, under the guidance and consultation of PGIMER.

It was also decided that in case of emergencies anywhere in the Tricity, the concerned authorities will provide oxygen, medicines, medical equipment like ventilators etc. to each other to avoid any untoward incident.

It was also decided to request the Punjab and Haryana High Court for a separate quota of 5 MT of liquid oxygen exclusively for PGIMER.
