Day after protest against farm laws, Congress men booked in Chandigarh

Two cases were registered against members of the Congress for violating the District Magistrate’s order in the city.

The police said around 50 Congress workers had assembled at Sector 9 on September 28 for a protest march against farm laws. It was in violation of the DM order in the wake of Covid-19. A case under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code was registered against them at the Sector 3 police station.

Another case was registered at the Sector 19 police station against members of the Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee, who had assembled in Sector 18 for a protest. — TNS
