Day 2: Kapurthala gain 38-run lead

Tanveer Singh Nagra came up with a timely 101 off 299 balls, studded with six boundaries, to help Kapurthala gain 38-run lead against Patiala, on the second day of the four-day Punjab Inter-District final match for Dhruv Pandove Trophy, at IS Bindra PCA Stadium.

Resuming from 41/1, the Kapurthala lads scored 270/9 at the drawn of the stumps. Nagra’s innings was ably supported by Kamal (77 off 128 balls, with 15 boundaries). Abhinav Kumar Rao (3/56) remained the highest wicket taker for the bowling side, followed by Damanpreet Singh (2/63) and Yuvraj Singh (2/29).

On Sunday, Patiala were bowled out for 232 in 86.2 overs
