Curbs imposed in 39 areas in Chandigarh

To prevent further spread of the coronavirus, the UT Administration today declared 39 more micro-containment zones in the city.

District Magistrate Mandip Singh Brar said regular screening and monitoring of the areas would continue and frequent sanitisation of the areas would be conducted. Residents were advised to strictly maintain social distancing norms, wear face masks and follow hand hygiene.

As many as 30 micro-containment zones were declared yesterday.

The affected areas declared as micro-containment zones are parts of Sector 7, 15, 22, 26, 29, 32, 33, 35, 41-B, 42, 43-A, 44,46, 49-A, 50, 63, Dadu Majra Colony, Sarangpur, Dhanas village, Khuda Ali Sher, Modern Housing Complex and Pipli Wala Town. — TNS
