Covid-19: 1 death, 18 new cases in Panchkula

District recovery rate rises to 94.17%

The district today reported 18 new coronavirus cases and a fatality. While the infection count rose to 6,855, the toll reached 107. An 83-year-old man from Sector 14, who was suffering from hypertension and diabetes, succumbed to the disease.

Among the fresh cases, three were reported from Sector 4, two each from Kalka, Sector 12-A and Sector 6, and one each from Amravati Enclave, Bhorian, Chandimandir, the MDC, Sector 5, Pinjore, Saketri, Sector 14, Sector 15 and Sector 2. As many as 6,456 patients have defeated the virus so far. The district recovery rate stands at 94.17 per cent. Only 292 cases are active in the district. Panchkula has conducted 81,210 Covid tests so far.
