The case was registered on a complaint of Maya Ram, Superintendent, Deputy Commissioner office, UT, who alleged that Inderjit Kaur and Narinder Kapoor frequently made intkaal of the plots situated in Khuda Ali Sher village, Chandigarh, and further sold them to other parties.

During the trial of the case, the accused was declared a proclaimed person on October 14, 2015, by the Judicial Magistrate, Chandigarh.

The counsel for the accused said the accused was in custody for three weeks. He had appeared before the court till 2015 and thereafter his previous counsel had informed him that the case had been closed, therefore there was no need to attend the court in future.

The counsel also cited old age of the accused while seeking bail.
